Confusingly they do have a feature request, it's in the support forum - why two different forums only they know. Anyway for those of you looking you can find it here https://netvue.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/community/topics/115000340765-Feature-Requests
Netvue smart doorbell.
It is very difficult for visitors to see the blue flashing bell.
Please do a firmware update to change this to a steady white light as this much easier to see and notice.
Make blue flashing for set up and no wifi connection.
I am happy to test this so please keep me updated.
These are must-have features for me to invest in more cameras: -
1) the ability to upload video to other cloud services such as Google Drive, Microsoft Onedrive, Dropbox etc.
2) improvements to the Alexa skill, to allow two-way vocal communications and pan and tilt when viewing cameras on the Echo Show.
Requests for the camera:
Multiple sleep mode schedules, it would be good if you could have different schedules for different days.
Have more options for if motion is detected. Example.
Keep the camera aimed at the source of motion as it moves around. Change the amount of time it captures when motion is detected
Thanks, camera seems great so far
My requests have been covered by other people, but I thought that I might as well get my views on features out there.
I have recently purchased an Orb Camera, to work along side my Hive system, and I am really pleased with it. The only problem that I had when installing the camera into Alexa. Fortunately 24 hours later there was an update and everything has been working well since then.
My requests are:
1. Sleep Mode. It would be good to have the option of multi time slots, something similar to the Hive system.
2. Alexa. Now that I can use my camera in Alexa, it would be very useful to have the option to Pan and Tilt.
To make this system really usable, it needs to have the option to view all cameras together as thumbnails. I have 10 cameras. If I feel there is an intruder and I wish to see all rooms, it currently takes over a minute to quickly sweep through all the cameras. That’s way too long. Also, having. 10 cameras makes paying for all the cloud recording quite expensive. Netvue, introduce packages for multiple camera setups. Making these changes will encourage much more new business.
Multiple sleep modes (4x or more!) for cameras is essential:
Sleep mode is so useful, but with more changes could be brilliant! Most of the population are at home first thing in the morning, and in the evening on weekdays, so putting internal cameras to sleep then would make sense (and would make me more likely to pay for the motion detection subscription).
Most people are at home at different times at weekends - having the cameras activate when I leave would be great. My Hue lights do this already, so surely is it possible with the cameras too.
Many thanks, I can see that your infrastructure is evolving, and I appreciate your openness to feedback.
