[Sticky] New feature | Motion Call Survey
Here at Netvue, we believe in constant innovation and striving to provide you with innovative products and services. To power on that innovation, we rely heavily on insight, reviews, and advice from you. Now, it’s time to share with you some new inventions. We’d like to introduce you a unique ‘Motion call’ feature. Also, we want to know your opinions about this coming feature. Please spare several minutes to read about this new feature and help us fill the quick survey with 5 questions. [Why do you need it?]
With the storage of our phones increasing every year, we are installing more Apps than ever. Very often, we would find the important notices of our home drowned out by other not-so-important notifications. Sometimes we might even miss the crucial moments of our home because of the bad internet connection of the phone.
[What is it?]
The Motion call is designed to call you instead of delivering you just motion alerts to your phone, which will significantly lowers the chances of missing the notification. Instead of getting an often-overlooked notification when someone intrudes into your home, you can now have the doorbell or camera call to your phone.
[How to use it?]
To enable the Motion call alert, you’ll need to set your phone number which you want to receive the call. Once you set it in the app, whenever there is a movement, the doorbell or camera will call you with the detailed notification messages.
Since the Motion call alert is associated with Motion alert, we have been improving this new feature by enhancing the Motion alert accuracy. To ensure the accuracy of the phone call alert, you can customize the Motion zone, Motion sensitivity and Motion time in order to avoid unnecessary alerts.During the whole year’s efforts, we think we have made enough preparation to release it out.

-What other ways do you want to receive motion notifications? *
By SMS but it's should be toggled on/off. The reason for this is some phones fail to send notifications from certain apps so if this is the case the user can choose SMS.
-How do you like this feature?
The feature is a good idea but could be improved. The better solution would be to have it simulate a call (so it looks like the user is receiving a call from the device). When the user answers it opens the app to a live feed of the camera. (when simulating the phone call the 'callers' image could be either a still image of the motion alert or a live feed of the camera so the user can see what has caused the motion alert and whether they feel the need to answer or decline the call.
Hi, it’s great that you are constantly innovating and asking your community of users for feedback.
I have left my feedback but I don’t mind saying publicly what my opinions are to see what others think of my own thoughts.
For me, the most important change needs to be the ability to see all the cameras together in the app without having to look at them one at a time.
With regards to the notifications, in my mind, receiving a phone call will be too awkward and take too long to handle. Personally, I believe the solution is to have bespoke notification sounds for each camera. In this way the user will instantly know the difference between a Netvue notification and a notification from another app which can be ignored.
These are my thoughts.
I don't think this is a great idea unless you get it to work with in car services. Using your phone while driving is illegal and also dangerous. So you shouldn't use that photo.

I completed the survey. I do think it would be something to try- however it would make it even better if say the person in the other room could talk to me once I got the notification. Or if I’m getting too many notifications for let’s say the sunlight- I would be able to disable the phone call feature.
I don’t like the new motion because you only get 3 pictures and in them three pictures they really don’t show much. So now I have to go thru all three pictures and then Also see the motion video to see if I see anything suspicion before I never had to do that. So I spend a lot of time reviewing the videos. But don’t get me wrong having the videos are nice.
It is a great idea my suggestion would be:
have the option to be both motion and doorbell or one or the other.
As for me I live in a highrise and the motion would consistently be triggered from my neighbors guest in the hall. So the motion part wouldn’t be helpful.
Calling me when the doorbell is pressed would be amazing because I am consistently missing notifications of the doorbell being pressed .
